Adopted Puppies

Are Boston Terrier Puppies good pets?

What are Boston Terrier Puppies Personality and Temperament like?

Bostons tend to be good-natured, playful dogs. For people who want a cheerful companion, Bostons can be a great choice. Bostons generally get along well with other pets, even cats, especially if they are raised together.

Are Boston Terrier good pets for families with kids?

Boston Terriers are a great choice for first-time dog owners because they are so amenable, intelligent, and loving by nature. They are happy in most environments and get on well with children. Although they have a high prey drive, they will generally get on well with other pets.

What is the Lifespan of Boston Terrier?

The average expected lifespan of a Boston Terrier is 13-15 years.

Boston Terrier Grooming and Care Best Practices

Boston Terriers are low-maintenance dogs. They have short, fine coats that shed infrequently. Weekly brushing with a soft-bristled brush or grooming mitt removes loose hair and distributes skin oils for a healthy, vibrant shine.

An occasional bath with a gentle shampoo is all they need to stay clean unless they get messy — overbathing with harsh chemicals causes dryness. But like Shih Tzus and Bichon Frises, Boston Terriers are prone to tear stains below their eyes that can make a white muzzle look dirty — it doesn’t affect their health. The simplest way to manage it is regular cleaning.

Why A Boston Terrier?

Boston Terriers are native to the United States, originating in – you guessed it – Boston. A people-loving, lively breed, Bostons are known for their expressive faces and amusing sense of humor. They are eager and easy to train and are excellent with children. These friendly, sturdy dogs are content to be around their people, have a medium energy level, and overall make excellent companion animals. An average-sized Boston Terrier typically weighs around 25 lbs. when fully grown.
